Spend a day here and explore the actual station where the famous film "Brief Encounter" starring Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard and directed by David Lean was made in 1945 (when the war was still on, and released in 1946).
The film is set in a remote railway station cafe, where a suburban housewife and a doctor fall passionately in love. The station cafe has been restored to as it was in the film. There is also a museum where the film runs continuously.
